Hello there, I'm Doug. I'm a writer and actor that has been working in Los Angeles since 2002. If you’d like to learn more about me then this is the webpage for you!

My first TV gig was at “The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn" where I did warm-up comedy and submitted jokes to the show. (Note: I was later fired as the warm-up guy when I failed to get the crowd crazily amped up for a segment where Craig interviewed romance novelist Jackie Collins.)

 

After that, I packed up and left for the SyFy channel where I became the head writer and director for the hit show SCARE TACTICS with Shannen Doherty, Tracy Morgan, and for a while Stephen Baldwin, the 4th best Baldwin.  

 

I’ve written for all sorts of shows, including the Sports show with Norm MacDonald, The Ben Show on Comedy Central and several shows for Nickelodeon.

 

I recently directed a horror short that was an official selection in over a dozen film festivals, including LA's own Screamfest. It's called “The Listening” and is now showing on this website!

 

I’ve also done my fair share of acting in Hollywood. I recently, and this is true, won the Corey Feldman Award of Excellence for Best Actor at the Edmonton Festival of Fear for my role as a psycho in the movie “Buzzard Hollow Beef.”  And of course, who can forget (everyone can) the role that made me not famous, my comedic turn as animal expert Clyde Sherwin on TruTV’s Clipaholics. 

 

Most recently, I’ve been working as a Staff Writer on NETFLIX’s Prank Encounters with Gaten Matarazzo. In conclusion, I’ve got a good mind for horror, comedy/variety, joke writing, and am great at churning out quality, produceable ideas, whatever the need may be (unless it’s getting people pumped to listen to boring stories from a 60 year old romance novelist).
